By understanding JB/T8713-1998, we learned about the various types of automated parking garages. For example: PSH, PCX, PCS, PJS, PPY, PXD, PDX, PQS, PSX, etc.
Multi-story parking garages, also known as automated parking systems, are intelligent mechanical systems that utilize mechanical principles to achieve efficient vehicle storage and retrieval. What types of multi-story parking garages are there?
We must understand this standard. JB/T 8713-1998 "Categories, Types and Basic Parameters of Mechanical Parking Equipment" is one of the earliest basic standards in China for the classification of multi-story parking garages. This standard specifies the categories of mechanical parking equipment and standardizes the items and parameter ranges of its types and basic parameters. It is one of the fundamental standards for mechanical parking equipment.
According to the above standard, we divide multi-story parking garages into nine major categories:
1. PSH Lifting and Shifting Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a mechanical parking equipment that uses the lifting and/or shifting of the vehicle platform to store and retrieve vehicles.
2. PCX Vertical Circulation Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a vehicle storage system using a vertically circulating rotary carousel. It is usually called a Rotary Carousel parking system abroad.
3. PCX Horizontal Circulation Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a mechanical parking equipment that uses a horizontally circulating parking space system to store and retrieve vehicles.
4. PDX Multi-layer Circulation Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a mechanical parking equipment that uses a multi-layer circulating parking space system to store and retrieve vehicles.
5. PPY Plane Moving Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a fully automated mechanical parking equipment that uses lifts and transporters or robots to move vehicles on one or more planes to achieve vehicle storage and retrieval.
6. PXD Aisle Stacking Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a mechanical parking equipment that uses aisle stacking cranes and transporters to achieve warehouse-style storage and retrieval of vehicles.
7. PCS Vertical Lifting Type Multi-story Parking Garage, also known as a tower-type multi-story parking garage: This is a mechanical parking equipment that uses a lift to lift vehicles to a designated floor and uses a storage and retrieval mechanism to store and retrieve vehicles. Tower-type multi-story parking garages can be divided into square towers and circular towers, etc.
8. PJS Simple Lifting Type Multi-story Parking Garage: This is a simple mechanical parking equipment that uses equipment lifting or tilting to achieve vehicle storage and retrieval. Most household multi-story parking garages are of this type.
9. PQS Vehicle Lift: Although it is a type of lift used in multi-story parking garages and only used in conjunction with parking lots, it cannot be called an independent type of multi-story parking garage.
